Community Action Kentucky Executive Director Rick Baker has been elected Chair of the National Community Action Partnership (NCAP) Board of Directors. NCAP serves as a national voice for the Community Action Network, supporting the work of Community Action Agencies and associations across the country. Baker’s term will continue through August 2028.
With over 36 years in Community Action, Baker’s election brings a Kentucky leader to one of the Network’s key national leadership roles. His experience spans the local, state, regional and national levels, giving him a perspective shaped both by the needs of Kentucky communities and the broader challenges facing Community Action across the country.
“I’m proud to represent Kentucky as I take on this national role,” Baker said. “I have seen the difference Community Action makes for families and communities, here in Kentucky and across the country. This is an opportunity to build on that work; strengthen our collective voice and make sure Community Action remains ready to meet the needs of the people we serve.”
